1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

C4그러므로 너희의 몸을 하나님이 기꺼이 받아들이시는 살아있는 희생 제물로 드리라
C7세상에 동화되지 말고 생각을 새롭게 함, 마땅히 생각하는 것보다 자신을 높게 생각하지 말라. 믿음의 분량에 맞게.
한 몸에 많은 지체들 같은 직이 아님 따라서:
1. 예언이면 믿음의 비례에 따라 예언
2. 사역이면 섬기는 일로
3. 가르치는 자이면 가르치는 일로
4. 권면하는 자이면 권면하는 일로
5. 주는 자이면 순수함으로
6. 다스리는 자면 부지런함으로
7. 자비를 보이는 자이면 흔쾌함으로

C3그러므로 형제들아, 내가 하나님의 긍휼을 힘입어 너희에게 간청하노니 너희는 너희 몸을 거룩하고 하나님께서 받으실 만한 살아 있는 희생물로 드리라. 그것이 너희의 합당한 섬김이니라. 너희는 이 세상에 동화되지 말고 오직 너희 생각을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아 하나님의 그 선하시고 받으실 만하며 완전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 입증하도록 하라.(롬12:1-2)
C4의심하고 먹는 자는 정죄를 받나니 이는 그가 믿음을 따라 먹지 아니하기 때문이라. 무엇이든지 믿음에서 나지 아니하는 것은 죄니라.(롬14:23)
C5내가 선한 싸움을 싸우고 나의 달려갈 길을 마치고 믿음을 지켰은즉 이후로는 나를 위하여 의의 관(冠)이 예비되어 있나니 [주] 곧 의로우신 심판자께서 그 날에 그것을 내게 주실 것이요, 내게만 아니라 그분의 나타나심을 사랑하는 모든 자들에게도 주시리라.(딤후4:7-8)
